On behalf of Wilner and Chantal Cornely, I am requesting your heartfelt and urgent prayers for Wilner and his health. The Cornelys have served God and His people for over 30 years in the full time ministry. They have literally planted churches all over the world spanning four different continents. In recent years they have become beloved to the Midwest family serving in both Chicago and Detroit over the span of eight years. The Cornely’s example of surrender and willingness to "Go to all nations…" for God’s purposes is nothing short of inspiring.
This past Tuesday, after experiencing severe pain in his lower back, Wilner went through a series of tests and was found to have stage IV pancreatic cancer. The cancer has metastasized to his liver and his lungs and is of the most aggressive kind. As you can imagine the prognosis for this diagnosis is very poor. It is simply time to pray. Please add Wilner and Chantal, as well as their three adult children (Nikki, Fred, and Michael) to your prayers.
The Cornelys were in Chicago visiting their kids for the holidays when all of this unfolded. They will remain here indefinitely. We are providing for their needs in every way that we can. We are in the works of making plans to set them up in a good living situation as they journey into this next part of their lives.
