The Southeast Asia (SEA) Region is humbled and honoured that Singapore was chosen as the site of the 2014 International Leadership Conference (ILC). This is a significant milestone, for it marks the first time in twenty years that an Asian country will be hosting an ICOC world leadership event. Early Registration ended October 15.

The 2014 ILC features a focus on building strong churches and leaderships that honor God. A highlight will be the new one hour musical by Steve Johnson. Participants are encouraged to join many regional leadership confernces in Asia following this great event.
Check out the 2014 ILC website for a personal invitation, registration and housing, FAQs, etc. Singapore is one of the most busy locations for conferences. Therefore, we must plan early. Registration opened in June and we must report to the hotels on our room commitments.

Hotel Reservations — Important
Some people have asked me questions about the payments for hotel rooms, which is different from the conference registration fee, so I thought I would address this issue.
The registration fee for the ILC conference in Singapore is USD 180 per person. After registering, this amount will be charged immediately to the registrants respective credit card, and they will see this amount reflected in their next credit card bill.
It is crucial that you reserve your hotel room as you register as these rooms will not be held if we do not reserve them. However, with regards to the hotel booking, please read carefully: The hotel booking requires credit card details for the sake of room confirmation.
If a participant cancels after making a reservation, then there will be a charge taken from the credit card, increasing as the date of the conference draws near.
For example, If you cancel well ahead of time, the penalty will be equivalent to only one night’s stay at the hotel. If you cancel one or two days before the actual conference in August 2014, then the penalty will be more. Full payment for the rooms and incidentals will only be charged to your respective credit card after you have checked out of the hotel in Singapore, not before. Further, if a participant cancels, this person’s reservation may be replaced with someone else without any penalty.
In other words, you will not need to have all the money for the hotel rooms for all the participants who plan to come to Singapore anytime soon. You only need money immediately for their conference registration fees . The money for the hotels rooms will appear in credit card bills in September 2014, after you have checked out of the hotel in Singapore, NOT before.
I hope this clarification will provide some relief as some people were of the impression that they needed to make payments for the hotel rooms immediately. So please make this announcement in your region of churches and encourage your staff to register.
