The HOPE worldwide and Benevolence Committee, May 2009 Report

Image“All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor.” –Gal 2:10.

The brothers and sisters on the HOPE worldwide and Benevolence Committee have continued meeting together on a monthly basis, besides having extensive individual phone calls, emails and fellowship meetings between members. Since the last update (in late January) we’ve seen God bless our work in a powerful way, with the help of your prayers.

ICMC Registration Now Open Online for US

God has used the International Campus Ministry Conferences of the last few years to revitalize the campus ministries of the International Churches of Christ. In 2005, only 300 students attended. Last year 1500 came to the LSU campus and served in New Orleans. This year 20 ICMCs are being held around the world including one in Los Angeles and one in Virginia Beach. Online registration is now available for both these US locations.

Shepherds Service Team Addresses Conflict Resolution

shepherd.jpg11 service teams serve the International Churches of Christ around the world. The Shepherding Service Team reports on their efforts to address godly conflict resolution.

Our service team began meeting in January of 2008. The first question that came to our minds was, “How do we envision God using this group to glorify Him?” As we prayed and talked it became clear that we desired to be used for purposes of unity in the kingdom and to bring about a place where relationships can be built based on security, encouragement and communication.

20 Commit to Cooperation Churches

As our fellowship was searching for God to lead us in how to build a new, healthy interdependent family relationship, over 350 churches committed to each other and to the Cooperation Proposal.
